Landfill Tour

Today a few SWAMP Board Members took a tour of the landfill! It was a beatiful day to take a walk and learn more about what the landfill staff do everyday. SWAMP is more than just a general dumping station, they also collect tires, metal, pesticide containers, old appliances, and contaiminated soil.
Looking at the general dump area, we saw a lot of recycable, reusable and compostable products. Seeing this helps motivate us to make a difference and continue our efforts in diverting the waste.
